Shoulder
Rotator Cuff Injury
The shoulder is supported by four muscles. This group is called the rotator cuff.
Shoulder rotator cuff tears are more common than shoulder arthritis. They cause pain and reduce our ability to participate in daily activities like brushing teeth, combing hair, shaving, showering and putting on a bra or a seat belt, similar if not more than shoulder arthritis.
The current treatment options are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and pain killers that come with a lot of side effects, or a steroid injection that provides temporary relief but damages the joint.
Surgery is recommended only in a retracted, full thickess tear of the rotator cuff.
Often, ultrasound and MRI findings do NOT correlate with the cause of pain. The best way to find out the cause of the pain is a detailed clinical evaluation. That is why we have a team to evaluate your shoulder pain.
Our procedures preserve function and mobility and decrease pain with minimal side effects.

Shoulder Osteoarthritis (Arthritis)
Shoulder arthritis is one of the most common types of arthritis affecting big joints. It causes pain and reduces our ability to participate in daily activities like brushing teeth, combing hair, shaving, showering and putting on a bra or a seat belt.
The current treatment options are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and pain killers that come with a lot of side effects, or a steroid injection that provides temporary relief but damages the joint.
The surgical option of Total Shoulder Replacement is not recommended for people 55 years or younger, as the revision rate is very high.
Our procedures preserve function and mobility and decrease pain with minimal side effects.
