Knee Osteoarthritis

Knee osteoarthritis is one of the most common causes of disability world wide. It causes pain and reduces our ability to take part in daily activities like walking, climbing stairs, and getting in and out of the car.

The current treatment options are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and pain killers that come with a lot of side effects, or a steroid injection that provides temporary relief but damages the joint.

The surgical option of Total Knee Replacement is mainly indicated for severe stage 4 arthritis which is known as “bone on bone”.

Our procedures preserve function and mobility and decrease pain with minimal side effects.

We specialise in helping people with Stage 1-3 knee arthritis. Our unique team approach and outpatient Cell Therapy procedures may help reduce your pain and restore your knee function.

Knee Tendonitis

Knee tendonitis can affect multiple areas of the knee. It mainly affects the front (quadriceps and patellar tendon) and the side (Ilio-tibial band). The symptoms may mimic knee arthritis. Often patients with knee arthritis have some knee tendonitis as they put more force on those tendons to avoid knee pain. This might also result in knee bursitis.

Knee tendonitis causes pain and reduces our ability to take part in daily activities like walking, climbing stairs, and getting in and out of the car, similar to knee arthritis.

The current treatment options are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and pain killers that have side effects, or a steroid injection that provides temporary relief but weakens and may rupture the tendon.

The surgical options include sewing the tear, cutting the tendon,or lengthening a tight tendon. These procedures might help the pain temporarily; however, they do not address the biomechanics of gait and posture. Often the pain and dysfunction return.

Surgical options are mainly indicated for traumatic tendon injury and not for chronic degenerative tendon disease. Our procedures preserve function and mobility and decrease pain with minimal side effects.

We specialise in helping people with knee tendonitis with or without knee arthritis. Our unique team approach, and outpatient Cell Therapy procedures may help reduce your pain and restore your knee function.
